EVENT PLANNING SERIES (112 HRS)

The Event Industry is a world of fun and entertainment that will enable you to explore new places and meet new people. Enjoy the variety of event coordination by managing national sporting events, festivals, parades, cruises, even concerts anywhere across the globe. Have the opportunity to meet government officials, world leaders, and celebrities. Experience everything this industry has to offer. Receive the necessary training from industry coaches, consultants, and professionals to start planning your future in Event Coordination & Management.

INDUSTRY INTRODUCTION (6 HRS)

In this course, you will get a complete overview of the Event Planning Industry. This includes learning the different types of certifications, events, and their respective earning potential.  Get to know the Focus on a select seven (7) worldwide certifications and be paired with the event division that best fits you and your personality.    In addition, learn what your earning potential will be for each segment.  Finally, explore various types of events around the world that can be planned, managed, and produced by you! This classes will showcase various types of events (international, national, state and city), exposing the full picture of the exciting world of event planning!

EVENT DESIGN (36 HRS)

In this Event Design class, you will start the process from the ground up, with behind the scenes secrets on creating various types of events big or small!  You will learn how to plot out each and every step needed to create an event as well as being able to dissect an existing event.  By working in teams you will organize all your event planning ideas; set event goals and objectives; conduct research relevant to your chosen event; identify and determine environmental friendly materials for event use; set an event budget; decide on event venue(s); identify your customers and collaborating organizations; as well as prepare your correspondence and marketing materials. PRE-PRODUCTION / EVENT PROMOTION (33 HRS)

In this Pre-Production class, you will put all your design plans into action! You will secure your contracts for the venue, determine logistics, and contract out your event speakers and entertainers (if applicable). You will learn how to promote events for companies (non-profit or for profit) and individuals. Learn the differences and styles on promoting various types of events from securing sponsorships and donations; working with marketing firms, community partners and professionals; and methods of getting your event information out to your event participants in the community.

EVENT PRODUCTION (30 HRS)

In the Event Production class, you will examine case studies on events that went wrong. Discover how event producers improvised in order to save the event and how they avoided any potential mishaps, no shows, later delivery, or delayed speakers. You will work on your final Production Presentation by presenting your event to the class, along with the invited industry consultants, professionals, coaches, invited guests, and organizations.

EVENT WRAP-UP (6 HRS)

In this final class, you will take all the necessary steps in the “wrapping-up” process.  The Event Planning series and your designed, pre-produced, and produced event will all need to be wrapped up.  Learn how to come up with your SWOT analyses, identify outcomes, determine your event ROI or Savings, quickly conduct your event audit, and send out thank you notes to event participants, sponsors, and donors.
